From October 28 to 31 Riga became the fashion capital as Riga Fashion Week took place in the city. The program featured not only long-time local favorites but also international designers. In total, brands from six countries presented their collections, with 15 of them showcasing on the main runway.

The series of fashion events kicked off with the opening of the Henna brand section in the “Baltā Kūmode” boutique. Immediately following this, there was a presentation of the collaborative collection ArtisainT by Lena Lumelsky. The Latvian brand One Day presented its debut collection at the Binyamin House, an architectural monument from the Latvian bourgeois era.

On the opening day, a pop-up showroom for Baltic designers launched at the Zunda Towers skyscrapers, followed by fashion shows from Verens (Latvia), Laura Daili (Lithuania), and Carolxott (Estonia). The day concluded at the Amoralle boutique, where guests had the chance to experience the results of a collaboration between one of Latvia's most feminine brands and designer Fyodor Podgorny (former creative director of FYODOR GOLAN) through a presentation of the new collection in the form of live installations displayed across three floors of the building.

On the main runway of the capital, collections were presented by Latvian brands Natalija Jansone, Iveta Vecmane, Selina Keer, BAE by Katya Shehurina in collaboration with the world-renowned Huawei brand, as well as international brands such as Pohjanheimo (Estonia), Novaliss (Spain/Latvia), Szczygiel (Poland), and Lili Marleena (Finland) in partnership with Stockmann department store.

This season, with the close cooperation and support of the Italian Embassy in Latvia and the Italian Trade Agency in Stockholm, the Riga Fashion Week program featured events dedicated to Italian fashion. On October 30, there was a public discussion titled “Fashion as Heritage” with renowned fashion historian Matteo Augello (Italy) and designer Laima Jurča (Latvia).

The following day, October 31, Forum Cinemas hosted a screening of the film about the life of legendary Italian designer Salvatore Ferragamo, creator of shoes for Hollywood stars and iconic silent films, titled Salvatore: Shoemaker of Dreams.

On the final day of Riga Fashion Week, to mark the 20th anniversary of the event, a gala dinner was held with Latvian designers, long-time participants of RFW, and an awards ceremony will take place.

The general partners of RFW are the Stockmann department store and the official watch of RFW — the Huawei GT5 Series.
