In anticipation of the premiere of director Dzintars Dreibergs’ latest film “Tīklā. TTT leģendas dzimšana” (“In the Net. The Birth of TTT Legends”), which will take place in Latvia’s national celebration month — one of the most anticipated fashion events of the year, RIGA FASHION WEEK, will open with a special fashion show dedicated to Latvian cinema. Under the spotlight, audiences will see costumes created by the costume designer Sandra Sila for such iconic Latvian films as “Cilvēka bērns” (“The Child of Man”), “Rīgas sargi” (“Defenders of Riga”), “Sapņu komanda 1935” (“Dream Team 1935”), “Dvēseļu putenis” (“Blizzard of Souls”), “Tīklā. TTT leģendas dzimšana” and many others.
RIGA FASHION WEEK will take place in the Latvian capital from October 20 to 24, and this season will go down in history as the season of debuts. A similar trend is unfolding on runways worldwide this autumn — with creative director changes, new names, and rising stars. A total of 17 brands from Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania, Poland, Belgium, and Uzbekistan will present their collections in Riga, with 12 of them making their RFW debut. In addition to the shows, a series of educational initiatives focused on sustainable development are planned, as well as exhibitions at the intersection of fashion and contemporary art.
The autumn season of RIGA FASHION WEEK, taking place from October 20 to 24, will offer guests not only fashion shows but also a broad program uniting fashion, art, and educational initiatives. Alongside the runway, visitors will enjoy lectures, exhibitions, and creative presentations, creating a space for exchanging ideas, inspiration, and professional growth.
